Hipposideros Ater (n) - the dusky leaf-nosed bat's habitat extends from India and Sri Lanka to New Guinea, the Philippines and Northern Australia.  The genus name  Hipposideros comes from the Greek word for horseshoe, a reference to the complex nose that species in this genus are known for.

The Specimen range of Greetings Cards has been inspired by carefully labelled specimens collected and stored in Natural History Museums, each with a careful note of their species in latin written in calligraphy underneath. They're a great way to buy one of my original artworks, and look spectacular framed. This bat has been hand drawn in pencil before being digitally printed in the UK onto 300gsm recycled card using eco-friendly inks.

Also the Bison greetings cards are blank inside - perfect for you to write, draw and doodle in! Each card is sent 'naked' and plastic-free, with a brown kraft paper envelope included.

Dimensions: A6, 105 × 148 mm
